Create a Happy Dental Office: In turn Your Staff will be Happy and So will your Clients
Offices are a lot like families. In a family, when parents are happy, relaxed and trusting, they create an environment that allows their children to be happy, relaxed and trusting as well. When employers are happy, relaxed and trusting, they perform the exact same service for their staff members. And happy, relaxed employees inspire trust and confidence in patients.
See how simple and circular that all is? What goes around comes around. When you make a point of creating a happy dental office, your staff members and patients will feel happier and so will you.
Start making your office a happy place by leaving any personal problems just outside the door and encourage your staff members to do the same. Unburdening yourself to your staff about your problems is costly and self-indulgent. Your staff looks to you to set an example, to provide guidance and to be there for them when they need your help, not the other way around.
Encourage a positive attitude in your staff members every way that you can while letting them know that when they do have a personal problem, you’ll lend a private and understanding ear.
Running a dental practice is tough work just by itself, and sometimes the ins and outs of interpersonal issues make it much more so. However, if the environment is a happy one, the people who work in it will usually be happy, too.
